As a non-profit organisation, DOSC is run by a board of dedicated volunteers, all of whom are sailing enthusiasts and bring their individual skills to the table to ensure that the Club is run efficiently, transparently and in the best interests of its Members. The Board Members are elected at the Ordinary General Assembly.

Class captains act as ambassadors for their fleet. They aim to encourage active sailing and grow participation in the classes they represent. The class captains are not DOSC Committee Members but they are in close contact with the Committee Dinghy Adviser position and the Sailing Subcommittee.
Promote class events, such as races, training, social sails and get-togethers.
Introduce new members to the fleet.
Be aware of boats for sale and potential buyers.
Offer tips and advise on how to improve sailing skills in a particular class of dinghy.
