DOSC Full Membership is for active sailors to become part of our sailing community.

Partner Membership:
What if your partner or spouse does not sail? DOSC offers a Partner membership which allows cohabitating partners or spouses limited access to the club to enjoy our thriving community.Â
This membership type is only for married or cohabiting couples in the UAE and can only be applied for through a DOSC Membership. Click here to view more information about partner memberships.
Membership Application Process:
The Membership Application Process is split in two parts:
Review the necessary requirements to become a member, such as minimum age, residency status, and any other specific qualifications.
Fill out the application form online, providing the required documents, proposer and seconder, and any sailing experience/certificates.
Once the application is completed and the submission accepted by the Club, you will receive a logbook in which to record membership points. Applicants are required to gain a minimum of 10 points ideally from sailing, training, volunteering or previous experience.
After the minimum number of points have been accumulated, the DOSC admin may put the applicant forward for the next available interview dates. It is the applicant's responsibility to scan and send a copy of their logbook for review.
Successful applicants will then proceed to probationary membership and move to Stage 2 of the Process. Probation Membership will last for a maximum of 12 months after the date it was granted.
Probation Members are required to gain a minimum of 10 points ideally a mix from sailing, training, volunteering and or previous experience.
Once 11 months of Probation Membership have been completed together with the required points, the Probation Member will have their photo, name and a short bio physically displayed on the Club noticeboard for 30 days to introduce them to existing Members.
After this 30-day period, the Probation Member may be presented to the Board for Full Membership approval.
Successful applicants will receive a notification of the offer for Full Membership, and will have 30 days to accept and pay the Joining Fee and the pro-rata annual Membership Fee.
All Full Members with less than 15 years of Full Membership, are expected to continue their participation in Club activities and to accrue 6 Membership Activity Points on an annual basis to maintain their Full Membership status.
