DOSC Summer Flotilla
Mediterranean 2023
Interested in Sailing the Mediterranean next summer with DOSC friends, in the company of a flotilla, while relying on the DOSC team to arrange excursions, itinerary, mooring assistance, navigation with local knowledge and more? Sounds good?
The flotilla will comprise of boats you charter, skippered and crew you (you’ll need a day skipper licence). We’ll have a lead flotilla boat crewed by DOSC Instructors for assistance with berthing chart briefing etc. typically we could cover approx. 130Miles in the week, a mix of sailing, motor sailing depending on conditions.
We’re currently reviewing charter fleet capacity in Alimos (Athens) for a Saronic island itinerary and Portorosa Sicily for the Eolian Islands, pricing, logistics and availability will determine the final choice.
Dates and Pricing
Dates: 29th July Departure by 2PM, returning to the charter base by 6PM 4thAugust. Disembarkation 0900 5th August.
Capacity: 10 – 12 boats
Boats: 38 – 42ft (or larger if you prefer) monohull and cats (typically 2019-2022 boats)
Pricing guide: Oceanis 40.1, 4 cabins, 3-4 years old 5,000 – 5,500 Euro. 6 nights out + 1 night at charter base upon return (7 nights)

What you can expect from the DOSC Team:
- Negotiate the charter boat, pricing, and early boarding arrangement.
- Itinerary and berthing arrangements selecting the best swim and night stops
- Daily chart briefings
- 3 – 4 excursion bookings, including wine tasting, capers tour, volcano trekking, cooking pasta in Nona’s kitchen etc
- Restaurant reservations / recommendations
What you would need to do:
- Respond this this expression of interest by 22nd November
- Commit / pay before end of the year
- Pay the charter company directly agreed price / package (negotiated by DOCS) and deposit
- Provide charter company your documents (passport/RYA Day Skipper Licence)
- Plan / book your travel to and from the charter base
- Pack Swimmers / sun block and leave the rest to us!
