HOW CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT DOSC CRUISING?

We regularly update the information on this website, so keep checking back.

What is DOSC’s procedure for sign out with the coastguard?

DOSC provides a daily group sign-out for Coastguard Permits; send an email to  coastguard@doscuae.com by 3pm on the preceeding day with details of your sail, and they will apply for a permit on your behalf.

This is for sails that remain within 12 nm of the Dubai coast.

If the permit is not received or there are changes in skipper or crew, please visit the Coastguard as you exit the Marina.

I DON’T OWN A BOAT BUT I WOULD LOVE TO TAKE PART IN A DOSC CRUISE. HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?

We are a sociable and inclusive community. Many boat owners taking part in DOSC’s cruising flotillas are happy to welcome non-boat owners on board, so we suggest that you make friends with the cruising community at DOSC!

There are also opportunities to crew on boats owned by DOSC members who regularly participate in our cruising activities. Follow our social media and keep an eye out for crewing requests from our members.

WHEN DOES THE CRUISING SEASON START?

The cruising season usually runs from October through to April or May, depending on the weather. We will publish our calendar for the new season very soon.

Sign up for the DOSC Cruising newsletter to stay in the loop.

ARE THE CRUISES ONLY OPEN TO DOSC MEMBERS OR CAN NON-MEMBERS TAKE PART TOO?

DOSC cruising activities are open to both members and non-members. All are welcome!

There are also opportunities to crew on boats taking part in the DOSC cruising flotillas. Follow our social media and keep an eye out for requests for crew from our members.

DO THE DOSC CRUISING FLOTILLAS GO OUTSIDE OF THE UAE?

Our cruising excursions usually stay in the United Arab Emirates, but that doesn’t mean that will always be the case! We are always open to suggestions from the cruising community.

Either way, the DOSC cruising flotillas are a great way to prepare for longer trips overseas. Many of our members charter boats for cruising holidays with family and friends all around the world at different times of the year.

ARE THE DOSC CRUISING EXCURSIONS SUITABLE FOR FAMILIES?

The DOSC cruising excursions are suitable for sailors of all ages and all abilities. We are an inclusive community and all we ask is that you get on board and get involved.
