With less than a month to go to the SB20 Middle East championships, DOSC is expecting 30+ boats to be competing for the title of Middle Eastern Champion!
The event is scheduled to take place from 1st to 3rd December 2023, over the long weekend.

The Tentola and lawn will be converted into a village with various food stalls, kiosks, kids’ entertainment, live entertainment and much more, throughout the duration of the event.

NOT A CLASS MEMBER BUT WANT TO PARTICIPATE?
For those interested in joining the class, there are still boats available for charter for both the season and the upcoming World Championships.
Currently boasting one of the world’s largest fleets of SB20s, the competition promises thrilling races.
In the ongoing Commodores Cup race series, with four race days completed out of a total of 10, Ragged Edge leads with 19 points, closely followed by Supersonic with 21 points, and Superb Ella in third place with 23 points.
BUDDY SYSTEM
As the fleet in Dubai has expanded over the past few years, a buddy system has been implemented to support and encourage new teams.
Currently leading the buddy system for the autumn series is the green team which includes Firebird, Smooth Criminal and Actitime!
This system helps allocate each boat or crew into a team, facilitating easy communication for assistance with setup, racing, and sailing.
SB20Â TRAINING SESSIONS
In an exciting development, the current world champion, Will Sargent , will be in Dubai during the 3rd week of December, to run some coaching sessions for any SB20’s looking to improve their performance.

SB20 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS UPDATE!
Looking ahead to the world championships in February, the first of many containers has arrived in Dubai, we are expecting 60+ boats for the world championships, an international event with a full team of umpires in the water.
