The winner of the 29th edition of the Aramex D2M, which starts on Saturday, 5th February 2022, will be awarded an exceptional Ulysse Nardin timepiece, the Marine Torpilleur. Available with a white dial with a rubber strap or a blue dial with a stainless steel bracelet strap, the Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur is water-resistant to up to 50 metres, boasts Silicium & Diamonsil Technology, Chronometer Movement COSC, and a double counter with a power reserve indicator, and has a retail value of over AED 30,000.
As part of its role as Official Timekeeper, Ulysse Nardin will be hosting an exclusive evening for DOSC Members on the 31st January 2022: Armel Tripon, an official friend of the brand, will be sharing his experiences of the Vendee Globe, describing the mental preparation required for this challenging race and how he conquered his fears to cross the finish line in 11th place on the first SCOE influenced IMOCA. The brand has also installed a showcase of its finest timepieces in the Clubhouse and wall clocks in the Clubhouse and The Loft and will be providing high-quality clothing to race participants.
Founded in 1846, Ulysse Nardin’s origins are rooted in the nautical world, having started producing fine marine chronometers still sought after by discerning collectors worldwide.
The 29th edition of the longest offshore race in the region for modern keelboats will depart from DOSC on Saturday, 5th February, ending at the Marina Bandar Al Rowdha in Muscat, Oman. Having evolved extensively since its inaugural event in 1992, today, the Aramex D2M attracts the region’s largest and most skilled modern sailing teams.
