DOSC has been invited to select a young sailor to deliver a short speech at the International Marina Conference in Dubai, October later this year.
For those interested in public speaking this is an amazing opportunity.
If you are interested in taking part please send your First Submission which needs to be a 5 minute video of you speaking on the topic ‘the ocean’.
This can be recorded at home, on a phone or any camera and sent to sailingmanager@doscuae.com via WeTransfer link. Do not worry about any video editing or what the background is like. We are only interested in hearing you speak with passion and persuasion.
Deadline for first submissions is Friday 18th June.
The top submissions will be shortlisted and will speak on stage in the Tentola to a live audience and our judges.
The winner will then be selected as one of the opening speakers to the International Marina Conference 2021, held in Dubai.
The winner will have the opportunity to make a 12minute speech on stage to a large audience on the topic: The vision of future marinas’. The topic is what you as a young sailor expects from a marina and what you would like to have and to see in future marina developments. We will also provide some support to help you write your speech and to practice it.
This competition is open to members only and speakers need to be between the age of 12 and 20.
Participants must be available 12th October to speak at the International Marina Conference in Dubai.
Please note it is likely the winner will need at least a PCR test to take part at the conference.
