Professor John Burt is a marine biologist at New York University Abu Dhabi, specializing in coral reef ecology and climate change in the Arabian Gulf region. With over 270,000 copies downloaded; his new book A Natural History of the Emirates is a comprehensive volume that explores the diverse ecosystems, wildlife and natural heritage of the United Arab Emirates, highlighting its unique desert, marine and coastal environments.
